Black Pond Lane

A new build house in Farnham, built on the site of an existing bungalow. The building is set on the top of a hill, creating a number challenges in the build process.

The new house has environmental design at its heart, using recycled blockwork, cemfree concrete and timber throughout. It has been designed to be highly thermally efficient with all heating and hot water supplied by electricity and an airsource heat pump. Solar panels are integrated onto the roof and the generated electricity can be stored in an onsite battery. The building is designed to be airtight and uses a mechanical ventilation and heat recovery unit to provide continuous fresh air into the building.
